Photography - Just a few club shots to test out the Sigma F1.8 18-35mm lens. Looks like it is well positioned to replace my all-time-favourite club lens the Canon F3.5-5 18-55 mm "Kit" lens. Of course the optical quality is incomparably better but that doesn't matter too much with club shots. What's more important though is that I am able to take both flash and ambient light photos without having to change between prime and kit lenses. Up until now I would have had to remove the kit lens and attach the Sigma F1.4 30mm lens whenever I wanted to take ambient light photos. Yes, the 18-35mm does not have F1.4 but honestly I hardly ever used it, since I felt the sharpness was seriously lacking at F1.4. I usually kept it at either F2 or F2.2 anyway, so the super sharp F1.8 of the 18-35mm actually feels like an upgrade compared to the F1.4 of the 30mm.
